Illinois' animal welfare law toughened - FOX 32 News Chicago

"These asylum seekers are being encouraged to return, in the vital security interests of Sri Lanka and the region," it said. The increase in numbers was due to "people falling victim to commercially-driven human trafficking networks which abuse the liberal visa policy," as well as a slowdown in the number of refugees resettled in other countries since 2012, it said. The influx had resulted in serious problems for law and order, security and health, the Ministry said. "In April 2014, 10 cases of malaria were detected among these asylum seekers. This detection was made at a time when Sri Lanka, having achieved zero indigenous cases of malaria for the past several years, was under consideration for obtaining WHO certification," it said in a statement.

The Great Unknown: ObamaCare cost unclear amid changes to the law | Fox News

Further, individuals were given until April 15 to enroll in a health plan through the ObamaCare exchanges, and many will likely be able to skirt the laws prescribed fine for going three months without insurance. Antos said he thinks it would be "politically impossible for the IRS to come after those same people -- millions of people -- and say you owe us money because you didn't sign up in time to have insurance. The cost of just those two changes will likely cut into revenue. "There was about $100 billion that was supposed to come in over the next 10 years from penalties on individuals, if they did not carry health insurance, penalties on employers, if they do not offer health insurance, and to date, those penalties have not been enforced, Blahous said. The law also counted on more than $700 billion in cuts to Medicare, including up to $150 billion in cuts to Medicare Advantage, but the president set those aside at the behest of Senate Democrats who feared angering seniors in an election year. Capretta said it is "very dubious that some of these Medicare cuts can be sustained over a long period of time." He also noted that even more Medicare cuts are planned but wonders if the impact will cause some of them to be pulled back as well.

How Nyu And The Guggenheim Are Selling Out To Sharia Law | New York Post

Abu Dhabis man-made island, Al Saddiyat, seen from space.Photo: Wikipedia It seems that NYU is hanging its hat on the special free zone status that, in theory, exempts its students from many of Abu Dhabis strict restrictions on rights including media, political and LGBT freedoms. However, we are already seeing that Sharia-driven UAE does not honor fair labor contracts. And NYU fails to recognize that their free zone status can be easily revoked under Sharia Law.

New Abortion Clinic Law, Blasted By O?malley, May Face Suit | Boston Herald

Law changed to allow 'unlocking' cellphones

Obamasigning If they misapply the law in such a way to infringe on First Amendment rights, then certainly well consider filing a new lawsuit, DePrimo said. My clients dont engage in behavior prohibited by the law, so that law shouldnt affect my clients at all. The bill Gov. Deval Patrick signed last week does away with the protest-free, 35-foot buffer zone around abortion clinic entrances that the Supreme Court struck down and instead allows police to disperse demonstrators who are substantially impeding access to a clinic. Those protesters can be charged with a misdemeanor unless they stay at least 25 feet from the clinics entrances for up to eight hours.
